Here's How My First Ever Daiso Haul Went

3:09 AM

One interesting morning, I woke up to the exciting news of a Daiso branch opening in Robinsons Place Lipa as I was scrolling through my Instagram feed. Being a cheapskate fan of Daiso since my office girl days in Makati, I decided to give the newly opened Lipa branch a try.

The best part about shopping in a physical store (Not that you can buy Daiso merchandise off their website. Wait. Can you??) is that you get to see what looks nice in person, test it out, and identify its color shade without disappointing yourself after your purchase.

After 2 hours of skimming, putting stuff on my basket, getting assistance for reaching items stacked way up high, and deciding on which items deserve to get checked out or not, I've reached the decision of taking these babies home with me:

Plastic organizer boxes and animal planter pots all at PHP 88 each

Here's how I organized them:

Blurred the important notes with stickers, sorry about that!
This is also the reason why I'm not a graphic designer/artist

I figured these weren't enough, so I looked around a bit more.

A 12-piece cord belt set, false eyelashes glue,
and a Mickey Mouse bag hook all at PHP 88 each

For the false eyelashes glue, I used my own pair of false eyelashes which I had purchased a month or two ago at Watson's. This is my first time applying false eyelashes, so please bear with me :)

My unused pair of false eyelashes from Shawill (A92)
                                          Before                                                                After

I couldn't glue the false lashes on correctly. Or maybe it was because the glue wasn't as sticky as it should be? I tried glueing it on for about 5 times before finally giving up (and getting my eye really itchy and irritated), so if one of the edges look like it's not placed correctly, know that I tried my very best and summoned all the Gods to do so. I wouldn't want to give this glue a thumbs down without giving it a second chance, so I'll try using them again and tell you all about it.

Final Thoughts

  • Plastic Organizer Boxes
Will repurchase these only if any of them breaks (which I highly doubt) or if I run out of space to put stuff in (preferably more Daiso merchandise. Yipee!)

  • Animal Planter Pots
I will probably repurchase these (again) if one of them breaks (which I don't doubt since I'm one of the clumsiest people you'll ever meet) or if I would like to send them off as a gift. I'm thinking of buying small plants or some cactus to fill them with next week. Will post pics on Instagram when I do!

  • 12-Piece Cord Belt Set
This has got to be the best purchase I've had on my visit. And I didn't even plan on buying this in the first place! This presents so much opportunities on organizing everything from computer cables and headphone wires to makeup brushes or even lippies for when you're travelling. I will definitely repurchase this and gift some to friends whom I know need this the most.

  • Mickey Mouse Bag Hook
Another great purchase, I can picture using this for when I'm going out to eat. Not all restaurants have hooks below their tables to hang bags, so bringing one for myself does the trick. This hook is lightweight, made of great material, can hold up to 4 kilos of baggage (it says so on the label), and it even has a chain you can strap on your bag so you never forget to bring it anywhere.

  • False Eyelashes Glue
I'm having second thoughts on this one. The glue was not too sticky, didn't dry up pretty fast unlike the glue that came with the false eyelashes, it was colored white so I can see which area I'm covering, easy to remove, didn't irritate my eyes, and it didn't have a chemical smelling odor, so I have to give it plus points for that. But consistency-wise, it didn't do its purpose as effectively as I had imagined it to be. I will give this glue a second try and go from there if I would repurchase it or not.

Total money spent for 10 items: PHP 880

That's all for now! I hope to add more quantity on my next Daiso shopping haul (Of course, there's another one!). This haul post doesn't seem very much like a haul, doesn't it?

Anyway, the next shopping/haul post is going to be about how I do online shopping. That post is long overdue (announced it from the April Skin Magic Stone Black post), but I promise it's for the best!

NOTE: Again, this is not a sponsored post. If it were, I would be on 7th heaven right now *winks at potential sponsors*

Until the next blog! Thank you for reading!
